In 2008, Anthony Peacock started Mediatica; a creative agency providing public relations and copy writing services internationally in the motorsport industry. Over the last 10 years, Mediatica has expanded its services and grown to a team of four employees and several freelancers.

​In 1998, Justin Brookes set up Mail Boxes Etc offering businesses in and around Headington and Summertown in Oxford a huge range of services specialising in shipping and packaging, postal services, mailbox rental for private accommodation and business addresses and printing and design. Justin was right in thinking these services would be well received by local businesses and the company now employs 7 members of staff.

In 2007 Diane Wilkinson started her business, Connecting to Excellence offering team away days, team coaching and executive coaching; enabling teams and leaders to go from good to great

Diane had previously worked as a management consultant in a large electricity company in South Africa. Once her children were older, she had the opportunity to get back into this line of work. Being in Oxford gave her the opportunity to partner with a local organisation and start small in order to build slowly while her children were growing up.

David and Shirley started Popham Hairdressing in 2002 and have now grown the company to 37 staff and 3 salons. As Oxford’s Sassoon Professional Partner and the only UK hairdressing company to be awarded Champion Investor in people, Popham has also just won the Small Business Apprenticeship Employer of the Year 2018 and continues to have a great reputation to uphold.

In 2002 Lesley and Graham Carson started Inca Accountants with a mission. With 80% of new start-ups not making it past their fifth birthday, Lesley and Graham set about to equip Inca’s business clients with as much financial advice and support as possible, helping them make good decisions based on sound financial principles from day and making it to that 5 year milestone. Fast forward to now and Inca are continuing to support businesses with their bespoke approach and an 11 strong team.

Started in 2001 by Simon Gould and Andy Gait, Gould Financial Planning Ltd – Chartered Financial Planners, now employs 15 people and supervises over £200,000,000 for 250 families. The business holds the British and International Standards accreditation and is listed in the New Model Advisor Top 100.

Welsh ICE was founded from a passion for nurturing the visions of small businesses through experience and guidance. Their aim is to support the capabilities of small businesses to flourish in a fun, collaborative and creative community whilst challenging them to overcome their limitations.

For a while, Welsh ICE worked with another IT supplier but found the service wasn’t to the standard they required. They realised their previous supplier didn’t see eye-to-eye with their company ethos and didn’t supply them with the speedy results the business needed, so they decided to seek alternative support.
